It begins with a dune bashing ride in a 4×4, driven by a professional guide, with wide views across the dunes. At camp you are welcomed with traditional Arabian hospitality: camel rides, sandboarding and falconry displays. In the evening there are belly dance and Tanoura performances and a BBQ dinner under the stars.
Comfortable, casual clothing in light, loose fabrics. Closed-toe shoes or sandals are best for dune bashing. Bring sunglasses and sunscreen for the desert sun.
Yes, desert safaris are family friendly. Dune bashing can be intense, so tell us in advance if you are travelling with young children or older guests and we can arrange a gentler experience.
An evening safari lasts around 7 hours, from 2:00 PM pickup to 9:00 PM drop-off. The morning safari is 4 hours and the overnight safari is 17 hours.
Evening safaris include a BBQ dinner with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options and traditional Middle Eastern dishes, plus unlimited water, soft drinks, tea and coffee. Alcohol is not included.
